General Information

In every municipality, there are Community Psychiatric Services (Sozialpsychiatrische Dienste) that offer counseling to people in mental crises and with psychiatric illness and arrange further assistance. Community psychiatric services are usually located at the public health offices. The address and phone number of the nearest service can be obtained through the municipal offices.

For children, adolescents and parents, help is available in acute crises through:

  • Counseling centers of youth welfare offices
  • Educational counseling centers
  • Marriage, family and life counseling centers
